Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday confirmed 187 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 coronavirus and four deaths in the last 24 hours.
In the Bosniak-Croat entity, 78 of 398 tests carried out in the last 24 hours returned positive, while the health authorities in the Serb entity identified 109 new cases after testing 431 samples.
The Bosniak-Croat entity said that one person had died in a Sarajevo hospital, while the Serb entity reported three deaths related to the COVID-19 infection, all of them from the wider area of Banja Luka.
Sarajevo Canton remains the largest hotspot in the country, with 61 new cases identified in the last 24 hours. Most of them are family members of already infected persons.
The authorities in Sarajevo are planning new restrictions to limit physical contact between people and the spread of the virus.
