Podgorica’s Public Health Institute said on Tuesday that out of 521 people tested 47 were confirmed positive on the coronavirus and that no death was reported in the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases was 1,017.
Since the epidemic outbreak, a total of 4,132 cases of infection were registered in Montenegro, while 80 people died from COVID-19.
Unlike Serbia where the new school year starts on September 1, in Montenegro it is postponed until October 1, to prevent the potential spread of the infection.
Podgorica declared the end of the epidemic on June 2 but had to redeclare it on July 21 due to a spike in the number of infected people.
