Bosnia’s special organised crime prosecutor has filed an indictment against Nedeljko Markovic, born in 1988, for his involvement in the smuggling of a group of 16 migrants into the country.

Markovic allegedly cooperated with individuals in Serbia in the smuggling operation in September 2019 and took over the group of migrants, which included seven minors, near the eastern town of Zvornik after they were smuggled across the border with Serbia.

He then transported them to the city of Tuzla, where he was caught by border police.
