Bosnia and Herzegovina has recorded 270 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, with the daily recovery rate exceeding 300 Covid-19 patients, the healthcare authorities said on Tuesday.
The Federation (FBiH) entity has continued the mass testing of its population with 1,728 lab tests performed since the last update, 120,471 in total. The region has reported 12,484 Covid-19 patients, 193 since Monday.
To this date, 8,798 patients have recovered and 351 died. Only in the last 24 hours, this part of the country has reported seven coronavirus-related fatalities and 266 recoveries.
As for Republika Srpska, (RS), its healthcare authorities have performed 470 lab tests over the last 24 hours, 65, 272 since the epidemic outbreak. The region has reported 77 new coronavirus cases since Monday, four deaths related to the virus infection and 55 recoveries.
The total of 7,464 patients has been reported in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 4,403 have recovered and 251 died.
Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north of the country, reported no new patients or coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours. The total of 286 patients has been confirmed by its healthcare authorities since the epidemic outbreak. Of that number, 234 have recovered (20 in the last 24 hours) and 18 died.
According to official statistics, Bosnia's coronavirus total stands at 20,234. With 13,435 recovered patients (341 in the last 24 hours only) and 620 coronavirus-related deaths, this leaves the country with 6,179 active cases.
