Israel’s Ambassador to Albania Noah Gal Gendler told the Pristina-Based Klan Kosova TV that his government would open an embassy in Kosovo soon.
The ambassador said that would not happen right after Israel recognizes Kosovo because of Foreign Ministry procedures but would happen in the next few weeks. “It will be soon but we don’t have a date yet,” he said.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti signed the White House Agreements last week which include Israel recognizing Kosovo. The Israeli ambassador said that the agreements are very positive because they can resolve the problems which have been present in the Balkans for years.
“We appreciate that and support it. The fact that Israel is part of it is very important to us because both Kosovo and Serbia promised that their embassies would be in Jerusalem,” he said.
