Bosnia records 169 new coronavirus cases, nine COVID-19 deaths, 128 recoveries

A total of 169 people have tested positive for the coronavirus, nine passed away due to COVID-19 and 128 recovered in the past 24 hours in Bosnia and Herzegovina, health authorities reported on Monday.

Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region tested 1,133 people since Sunday and the results for 129 of them came back positive, while six people passed away due to the disease.

The other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), tested 586 people and confirmed 39 new coronavirus cases as well as three COVID-19 deaths.

Bosnia’s Brcko District, which belongs to neither of the two regions, recorded one more coronavirus case.

The total number of people who tested positive for the virus so far in Bosnia is 23,635, of which 16,166 have recovered.

A total of 705 people have passed away due to COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina so far and there are currently 6,764 active coronavirus cases in the country.
