The South-Bosnian City of Mostar woke up dressed in interesting murals all thanks to the ninth Street Art Festival which gathers artists from the region with the aim of making the city on the Neretva river a more beautiful and art-friendly place, organizers said on Saturday.

The focus of the Festival was painting murals and a customized off program for participants, volunteers, partners, friends and associate, Fena news agency reports.

"By documenting the times which we live in, we contribute to the values and good qualities of both our own and our common lives. As our common space is a personal and collective responsibility, this is a kind of human and artistic way of questioning and constructive criticism that opens the possibility of correction of our social reality," the organizers said.

The festival included 30 locations across Mostar where murals and graffiti were painted, and the urban revitalization of the Partizan playground near the old town, which should become one of the main urban and sports gatherings for young people, also continued.
