Montenegro has reached the coronavirus infection rate of 2,385.15 per 100,000, which makes it the first country in Europe in number of infected patients in relation to its total population, Montenegrin media reported.
“According to European statistic centres, no other country in the region is listed among top 10 of 45 European countries with highest infection rate,” the ‘Vijesti’ daily reported.
The daily also said Montenegro was followed by Armenia and Spain. North Macedonia is the second worst-ranked country from the region (11th) on the same list, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina (14th), Kosovo (17th), Albania (27th), Croatia (28th), Slovenia (29th) and Serbia (30th).
