Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic discussed the construction of an airport in Bosnia-Herzegovina with that country’s Presidency Member Milorad Dodik on Monday.

“Just finished discussion with Milorad Dodik, Serb member of the BiH Presidency, about the construction of an airport in Trebinje,” Vucic wrote on his Instagram profile. Trebinje is a city in Herzegovina north of Dubrovnik and is in the Bosnian Serb entity the Republika Srpska (RS).

The media in Bosnia-Herzegovina said that preparations are underway to build the airport just outside Trebinje in an uninhabited area covering 300 hectares, adding that the construction of the airport was first raised when Vucic visited Banjaluka recently.

A statement said that the Republic of Serbia will finance the construction of the airport and manage it once it is built. Media reports said that the airport will cost about 50 million Euro to build.
