A total of 73 people passed away due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours in Bosnia and Herzegovina, healthcare authorities said on Monday.
In Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region, 608 of the 1,424 samples tested since Sunday were positive while 52 people passed away due to COVID-19.
In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 902 people were tested and 383 were positive for the virus. The RS also saw 19 fatalities related to the disease.
Bosnia’s Brcko District recorded six new infections and two COVID-19 deaths.
According to the Civil Affairs Ministry, 63,419 people have tested positive for the coronavirus since the beginning of the epidemic in Bosnia and 31,222 have recovered so far.
The COVID-19 death toll is 1,583.
There are currently 30,614 active coronavirus cases in the country.
