A total of 697 people have tested positive for the coronavirus, 623 recovered and 30 passed away due to COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the past 24 hours, health authorities said on Sunday.
Of the 1,326 samples tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region, 501 were positive for the virus and 15 people died due to COVID-19.
The other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), reported that 188 of 555 people tested since Saturday were positive and 13 died due to the disease.
Bosnia’s Brcko District also reported eight new coronavirus infections and two COVID-19 fatalities.
According to the Civil Affairs Ministry, some 80,000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia since the beginning of the epidemic and more than 44,000 of them recovered so far.
More than 2,200 people have died due to COVID-19 in the country so far.
