Afghan Anil Ahmad born 1999 admitted to smuggling migrants into Bosnia in September 2020, when he was caught crossing the Drina river, on the border with Serbia, Bosnian Prosecution said Saturday.
The suspect is charged with smuggling 10 migrants across the Drina river in September 2020, which he confessed doing, and for which the prosecution will ask a 12-month sentence.
According to the Prosecution, the requested sentence is adequate to the severity of the crime committed and with the admission of guilt, the Afghan waived the right to trial and appeal.
The plea bargain was submitted to the court which is yet to decide on it, the Prosecution said.
