A total of 1,636 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Slovenia and 47 have died as a consequence of the infection in the last 24 hours.
The government said that 6,344 tests were conducted, which puts the share of positive tests in the total number of tests in the last 24 hours at 25.79%.
Since the start of the epidemic, 1,700 people have died as a result of the infection.
The latest data show that 1,272 people are receiving treatment in hospitals, including 199 in intensive care. On Friday, 122 patients were released from hospitals.
The number of hospitalisations is similar to the number reported on Friday, but the situation is slightly better as regards the number of new infections and fatalities. On Friday, there were 1,787 new infections and 61 deaths.
This has reduced expectations and announcements about the imminent relaxation of tight epidemiological restrictions that have been in force for more than a month, including a curfew, a ban on leaving one's place of residence and a ban on gatherings outside the family.
