Average net salary in BiH paid in October this year amounted to 961 Bosnian marks (approx. €491) which is 1.1 percent higher compared to December 2019 and 3.1 percent higher compared to October last year, Bosnia's Statistics Agency said Wednesday.

The lowest net October salary was paid in accommodation and hospitality industry (590 marks, or some €301), construction (662 marks, some €338), administration (663 marks).

In financial and insurance sector, the average net salary in the tenth month amounted to 1,559 marks (some €779), in the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning the salary amounted to 1,468 marks (around €750), and in the field of information and communication 1,345 marks (approx. €687).

The average monthly gross salary in October amounted to 1,485 Bosnian marks (or €759) and is nominally higher by one percent compared to December last year, and higher by 3.1 percent compared to October last year.
