A total of 216 people have tested positive for the coronavirus and 654 recovered in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, while 52 passed away due to COVID-19, healthcare authorities reported on Monday.
In Bosnia’ Federation (FBiH) entity, 157 of the 1,483 people tested since Sunday were positive for the virus and 29 people died due to the disease.
The other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska, identified 57 new coronavirus cases among the 296 people tested, as well as 22 deaths related to the disease. Healthcare authorities in the entity also reported one more COVID-19 fatality that took place in the previous several days but was not reported.
Bosnia’s Brcko District also reported two more coronavirus infections and one COVID-19 fatality.
More than 106,000 people have tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the pandemic and more than 70,000 of them recovered so far.
Bosnia’s COVID-19 death toll is more than 3,600.
