More than 10 villages in the Konjic area have been cut off from receiving aid due to severe road damage caused by catastrophic floods in Bosnia, combined with the remote locations of these communities. Most of these are mountain villages situated below Bitovnja, according to a report from the Civil Protection Operations Center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) on Monday morning.

Numerous volunteers have joined efforts to clear affected areas in Konjic, where safety conditions allow. Mountain rescue teams have reached the villages and helped evacuate residents.

All available construction crews are working on mitigating the disastrous consequences. Early this morning, a significant number of construction machines from Slovenia arrived to assist, and they are now being deployed.

Rescue teams resumed their search operations early this morning in the Donja Jablanica region. Intensive efforts are underway to clear main and local roads, as well as to repair electrical and water supply systems. The base station for mobile phone coverage has also been restored.

Road connections with certain villages and towns in the Jablanica municipality, as well as neighbouring areas, remain cut off, and clearing operations are ongoing.

Work is also progressing in the Dreznica area, with the road to Divi Grabovica now cleared. The Commission for Damage Assessment will be on the ground on Monday to evaluate the extent of the destruction.
