BiH Presidency Chair Denis Becirovic met with the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, at the presidential palace Vila Vodno, on Thursday.
Chair Becirovic and President Siljanovska Davkova announced the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries and emphasized that the common interest is the acceleration of the EU admission process.
Siljanovska Davkova noted that North Macedonia will support Bosnia on its EU and NATO path. She pointed out that she fully supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Becirovic said that improving interstate relations and strengthening regional cooperation are key to the stability and economic progress of the region. He said that Bosnia’s strategic foreign policy goals are the NATO and EU accession.
Discussing the relations between the two countries, they announced that additional efforts would be made to improve the relations between the two countries. The importance of deepening economic cooperation with concrete projects and initiatives that will contribute to the development and prosperity of BiH and North Macedonia was highlighted. They also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in tourism, education, culture and sports.
The officials discussed the relations between the two countries as well as Thursday’s Summit within the framework of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Skopje, Becirovic’s cabinet said.
