Becirovic to ask BiH Const Court to review activities of RS National Assembly
The Bosniak member of the tripartite BiH Presidency, Denis Becirovic, will submit a request to the Constitutional Court of BiH for a temporary measure and a review of constitutionality following the session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS) on Thrusday, during which the controversial Law on the Protection of the Constitutional Order of the Entity was adopted, along with the draft of the new Constitution of Republika Srpska. This was confirmed to FENA by sources within the BiH Presidency.
As stated to FENA, the conditions for submitting the request for a temporary measure and a review of constitutionality will be submitted upon the law’s publication in the Official Gazette.
The situation surrounding the adoption of the new Constitution is also being closely monitored, and preparations are underway for a request for a temporary measure and a review of constitutionality for this scandalous constitution as well, FENA was told.
Based on the request of BiH Presidency member Denis Becirovic, the Constitutional Court of BiH has previously issued rulings annulling laws, decisions, and conclusions adopted in earlier NSRS sessions.
