BiH Election Commission sets dates for repeat elections in Srebrenica and Doboj

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided Tuesday on the date of the repeat elections in Doboj, Srebrenica, Ustikolina and Travnik after they were annulled due to numerous irregularities. Pročitaj više

Elections in Doboj and Srebrenica will be held on February 21st, while elections in Travnik and Ustikolina will be held in April this year, BiH election watchdog said.

The BiH CEC passed a Decision annulling the elections held on November 15, 2020, in the Srebrenica constituency for the mayor of Srebrenica and the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly at 28 polling stations, during its session held on January 21.

At the same session, the CEC passed a Decision annulling the elections, held on November 15, 2020, at 89 regular polling stations in the Doboj constituency for the level of Mayor of the City of Doboj and the Assembly of the City of Doboj.

During the January 21 CEC session, numerous frauds related to voting in Srebrenica and Doboj municipalities were presented. The Commission established that voting without valid BiH documents was enabled during the local elections. Dozens of voters voted without valid documents at several polling stations.

Also, graphologists have identified numerous irregularities when it comes to voter signatures, ie forgeries. They determined that voters voted with invalid identification documents or documents issued outside the legal deadline.
