The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) is facing legal action after the Municipal Court in Mostar issued an enforcement ruling for the seizure of its assets. The move is part of a forced collection process initiated by the Slovenian company Viaduct, following an arbitration decision related to a terminated contract by the Government of Republika Srpska.

The CBBH confirmed to the FENA agency that it has filed a formal objection against the decision in accordance with legal procedures, and the case is still ongoing.

Despite not being a party in any legal proceedings related to Viaduct’s claims, nor holding contractual or legal obligations toward the company, the Central Bank stated that it must now use all available legal avenues to defend its property.

The financial repercussions of the dispute extend beyond CBBH. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) is also suffering significant consequences, following the enforcement of the debt, which now exceeds 110 million Bosnian marks (approximately €56 million).
