Bosnia sees mixed trade trends in March 2025

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) recorded exports totalling 951,795,000 Bosnian marks (approximately €486 million) in March 2025, reflecting a 3.2% decline compared to February 2025, but marking a 6.2% increase from March 2024.
Imports for March 2025 stood at 1,819,450,000 marks (approximately €929 million), rising 6.0% from February 2025 and 2.6% year-on-year from March 2024.
Between January and March 2025, exports grew by an average of 5.25% per month, while imports rose by 2.48% on average.
The export-to-import coverage ratio was 52.3%, down 4.9% compared to February 2025, when coverage stood at 57.2%.
The trade deficit for March 2025 reached 867,656,000 marks (approximately €442 million), according to figures from the FBiH Statistics Agency.
In March, the Federation of BiH’s main export destinations were Croatia, Germany, and Austria, while the largest import volumes came from Germany, Italy, and China.
