Bosnian court requests revision of Interpol red notice decision

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has submitted a request to revise the decision rejecting the issuance of an Interpol Red Notice for Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, and Nenad Stevandic, Speaker of the RS National Assembly.
“Due to the nature of communication with NCB Interpol, the Court can only confirm that a request for revision of the decision has been sent through the NCB Interpol office. All other circumstances and information are considered confidential,” the Court stated to N1.
Previously, the Court issued a central warrant for Dodik, Stevandic, and RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic following a series of unconstitutional and controversial decisions made by the RS National Assembly. These actions came after the first-instance ruling against Dodik for disregarding decisions made by the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The central warrant obliges police agencies to act immediately and arrest the individuals if spotted. However, this has not occurred, and both Stevandic and Dodik have crossed the state border. Consequently, on March 27, the Court issued an order requesting an international warrant.
The three individuals are accused of undermining Bosnia and Herzegovina’s constitutional order. However, an international warrant was not requested for Viskovic, as he has not left the country’s borders.
Interpol rejected the request for an international warrant for Dodik and Stevandic in early April, prompting the Court to seek a revision of this decision.
