Bosnian and Herzegovinians in Great Britain, Italy, Sweden, Belgium and 14 other countries organised protests in favour of preserving peace and stability in Bosnia, urging the European Union to react against those questioning the country’s survival.
The central protest in the UK was held in Birmingham under the slogan “Stand up, something’s happening, your fate is in question,” and it was attended by Alicia Kearns, a British MP and head of the caucus for BiH who said in the British Parliament that Bosnia is on the edge of collapse and that the UK can help.
Other protests were held in London, Manchester, Derby and Coventry.
In Italy, Rome, Bosnians protested against the divisions and discrimination in BiH. Concerned about the serious signals from the region, they said they did not want to go back to the past, but to look to the future.
“We want democracy, equality for all, for our country to be known for beautiful things, and not to always talk about war and other things that are not present among people,” said Ajla Nuhbegovic who attended the Rome protest.

“This is also a protest against the legalized violence and war, division, discrimination, corruption and anarchy. This is a call for democracy, a free society, equality and the rule of law,” said those gathered at the protest.
Protesters in Sweden said Bosnia will last until the end of time urging the Swedish government to be more involved in the situation in Bosnia.

Hamdija Draganovic, a member of the Board of Directors of the organization Platform for BIH who lives in Brussels, addressed the BiH diaspora who protested in this city to support Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A large number of citizens arrived at the protest from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, France, Montenegro and other countries.
“Our answer was and will always remain the same – we are Bosnians and Herzegovinians who were forcibly expelled and later economically forced to leave our BiH. A group of BiH citizens who can no longer remain silent. The initiator of these peaceful protests is Suad Pasalic from Srebrenica, who survived the genocide, “Draganovic explained.

Draganovic pointed out that he also spent six months in the Keraterm, Omarska and Manjaca concentration camps in 1992, and that he clearly saw the evil of the war with many of his companions.
He said that it is not much to ask for peace and stability of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
