Bosnia's Cvijanovic meets Orban: Good ground for strengthening of cooepration

Chairwoman and Serb member of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency Zeljka Cvijanovic met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Tuesday within her official visit to Budapest. Pročitaj više

The meeting was also attended by foreign minister Peter Szijjarto.

The officials agreed on this occasion that the two countries are not burdened with open issues, and expressed hope that good bilateral relations will serve as a ground for strengthening of economic and other sorts of cooperation, according to the Presidency's statement.

Cvijanovic thanked Orban for a “high degree of political understanding towards everyone in BiH and the region, the support in the sector of Euro-integration, and in the important projects of the Government of Hungary in BiH, such as the programme of support to farmers in Republika Srpska entity.”

Also, Cvijanovic informed the collocutors about current political developments in BiH in light of the formation of governments following the October 2 elections.

A day before the meeting with Orban, Cvijanovic met her Hungarian counterpart, president Katalin Novak, who expressed support of her country for BiH's EU aspirations.

This was Cvijanovic's first visit abroad after assuming office in November last year.
