Bosnia's best cross-country and mountain bike cyclist, Lejla Tanovic, won the UCI C1 race in Romania only days after winning the title of best cyclist among women at this year's Balkan MTB Championship for the fifth time.
The race in Romania secured another 60 UCI points for Tanovic in the world ranking list.
“Physically, I felt great and fresh despite a large number of competitions in a short period of time,” Tanovic said.
Her next goal is the world championships which will take place in Italy in October.
“We have already done a lot of work this season, she secured a spot among the top 10 best in the world, she defended national titles as well as the title of Balkan champion and she has registered victories in the last four UCI races,” said coach Amar Njemcevic.
