Revenues from indirect taxes collected in Bosnia for the four months of 2024 amounted to 3 billion and 602 million Bosnian marks (€ 1.8 billion) and are higher by 398 million marks (some €200 million) or 12.42% compared to the same period in 2023 when they amounted to 3 billion and 204 million marks.
After the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) returned 691 million (some € 345 million) to the economy in four months of 2024 based on VAT refunds, the net collected revenues that were distributed to beneficiaries, namely the state, entities and Brcko District, amounted to 2 billion and 911 million marks (some € 1,488 billion) and are higher by 422 million marks (some € 211 million) compared to the income that beneficiaries received from the Single Account for the same period in 2023.
In April 2024 alone, 972 million marks (some € 496 million) of indirect taxes were collected.
An amount of 337 million marks (some € 172 million) has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the four months of 2024. The largest part of the income from indirect taxes, as well as all the collected excess income, ended up with the entities and Brcko District. Thus, in the four months of 2024, 1 billion and 567 million marks (some € 847 million) were allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 878 million marks (some € 448 million) to Republika Srpska, and 88 million marks (some € 44 million) to the Brcko District.
