William Joseph Burns, director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, arrived in Sarajevo on Tuesday. This information has been unofficially confirmed for N1 from sources close to the US Embassy.

According to these sources, Burns will talk to the director of the Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA), as well as members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He will also meet with the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konakovic.

Burns visited Bosnia and Herzegovina once before.

The CIA director is very familiar with the situation in the country. As US Deputy Secretary of State, he visited the country in 2012 and spoke with members of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic, Zeljko Komsic and Nebojsa Radmanovic, as well as with the Chair of the Council of Ministers and the country’s Foreign Minister.
