Una-sana Canton’s Prime Minister Mustafa Ruznic confirmed that the construction of the detention unit within the temporary migrant reception centre in Lipa near Bihac has been stopped, stating that this is the result of the reaction of the BiH representatives. Pročitaj više

“We were against the construction of certain types of detention units within the Lipa centre from the beginning and it seems that the joint reaction was timely. The construction of such an area is not in accordance with the urban plan, nor with the building permit of the Lipa complex and a sports field was planned for that area, instead. Honestly, we were surprised that it all started in a certain secrecy, because both the cantonal and city authorities really participated in the preparation and construction of the Lipa migrant centre,” said Ruznic.

He stated that he had previously discussed this with BiH Security minister Nenad Nesic, the director of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners, Zarko Laket, and the head of the Delegation of the European Union in BiH, Johann Sattler, during their visit to the Una-Sana Canton.
