The equality of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina must be fully realized, but it will not be given to us—we must fight for it, stated Dragan Covic, the president of HDZ and HNS BiH, during the celebration of the Day of the City in Siroki Brijeg.

“We must do everything to maintain unity. This is not easy, as we are the smallest ethnic group, but we are a constituent people. Without us, politics cannot be conducted, and it is our responsibility to lead the European path and European policies,” Covic said.

He emphasized the need to overcome the politics that believe they can achieve their goals through blockades.

“I am convinced, as we have shown in recent years, especially in these times of external challenges, wars in our region, and threats of violence at every turn, that we will resolve all problems peacefully and civilly, while absolutely protecting the rights and equality of the Croatian people,” Covic stated.
