The Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandrokovic, arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina for an official visit. His first meeting was with the Archbishop of Vrhbosna and the Apostolic Administrator of the Military Ordinariate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Monsignor Tomo Vuksic. Jandrokovic noted that this was his first visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina in his current role.
“I was here many years ago as the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs. I am glad to begin this visit at the Vrhbosna Archdiocese. I come as a friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I expect the atmosphere throughout this visit to be friendly. Our wish is to help our neighbors in their Euro-Atlantic integration,” Jandrokovic said.
He emphasized that Croatia's policy is to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Dayton Agreement. “We know it's not ideal, but it is what it is. It was the result of a post-war agreement among all interested major countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and its neighbors. We want Bosnia and Herzegovina to develop well, for its peoples to maintain equality and constituent status, and for the Euro-Atlantic perspective to strengthen its institutions and support reform efforts. Croatia will provide strong support in this regard,” Jandrokovic added.
Monsignor Tomo Vuksic thanked Jandroković for Croatia's support of Bosnia and Herzegovina's path toward EU integration.
