Croatian state company Odasiljaci i veze, which is part of the consortium led by Sirius 2010, answered N1’s questions regarding the continuation of the € 13 million digitization project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In January 2024, a contract was signed between the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a group of bidders in which Sirius 2010 is the holder and OIV is a member of the group. With the signing of that contract, the realization of the combined second and third phases of the Project of Digitization of Public RTV Services in BiH began. The project includes the delivery, assembly and integration of equipment into a unique turnkey system, along with upgrading the equipment from the first phase to a new transmission system, they explain.

“OIV was informed through the media about the new situation regarding the sanctions of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department against the holder of the group of bidders Sirius 2010 d.o.o. We would like to note that immediately upon learning about it, we requested the opinion of legal experts and started analyses of possible risks and requested a statement from the holder of the consortium agreement.

We note that the OIV fully respects the sanctions of the American administration and is considering all possibilities of fulfilling the assumed contractual obligations towards the Ministry of Communications and Transport in the Project of Digitization of Public RTV Services in BiH.

Due to the aforementioned analyses which are not yet finished, we are currently not able to make additional statements”, the company told N1.
