Cvijanovic and Rahmon on improving the economic, trade, energy and tourism relations

As part of a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, BiH Presidency member Zeljka Cvijanovic met on Monday in Dushanbe with President Emomali Rahmon.

At the meeting, the two officials noted that there are no open issues between the two countries and that there is significant room for improving cooperation in various areas.

The importance of strengthening ties in areas such as economy, trade, energy and tourism was particularly emphasized.

During the meeting, the BiH Presidency member Cvijanovic and Tajikistan's President Rahmon rated Tueday's “Water for Sustainable Development” conference, which is being held in Dushanbe, as very important, stressing that for both sides it is a resource that represents a huge development opportunity.

On this occasion, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on current global and regional political and security issues, challenges brought by climate change, as well as joint initiatives aimed at overcoming them, stated the BiH Presidency.
