“Bosnia's tripartite Presidency decided, Thursday, that migrants will remain in Lipa and we will send Bosnia's Armed Forces to the locations to set tents which will accommodate them,” Minister Podzic confirmed for N1.

Podzic said he had already issued an order to Bosnia's Armed Forces to hear to the north-west of the country, to the Una-Sana Canton where they will set the tents.

In this way, Bosnia had given up on their relocation to the Bira camp, for now, which was the demand from the senior-most EU officials EU's High Representative Josep Borrell and Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson.

Speaking to N1, European Commission's spokesperson Peter Stano said he did not want to speculate as to what would happen if BiH authorities refused to relocate the migrants to the Bira camp, in the centre of the Una-Sana Canton's administrative centre – Bihac, in which the EU invested over €3.5 million equipping it with heating, running water and electricity, but warned that there will certainly be some consequences for BiH if this does not happen.

Bihac residents also gathered in front of the Bira camp along with Mayor Suhret Fazlic on Thursday evening, in an attempt to prevent the migrants from entering the camp in case the state government decided to accommodate them there.
