SBB leader Fahrudin Radoncic called it “the most important historical moment after the aggression on BiH”, while Zenica Mayor Fuad Kasumovic said he guaranteed that Becirovic would win, otherwise he would resign.

Becirovic is a senior member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) BiH, who is running for the post of the Bosniak Presidency member for the second time.

SDP leader Nermin Niksic made a joke about his previous nomination, noting that “Becirovic is a man who needs to win for the second time in order to win his first term in BiH.”

“Denis won the last election, then the counters played their part. That was when the citizens of FBiH showed awareness and elected two members of the Presidency of BiH on behalf of the citizens of BiH. I am sure that with this support we will get a member of the Presidency of BiH who will be the representative of all citizens of BiH. We want to tell everyone: We will change the system,” he stressed.

Niksic added that there is a “huge job ahead of us” to get the country back on track and to make citizens feel they have the government that will fight for their interest.

NES leader Nermin Ogresevic noted that this was a test for the opposition, adding that he has no doubt about Becirovic's abilities and competences.
