Milorad Dodik, the president of BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, said meeting with RS officials that there are no pro-Russian training camps in the entity and that such news reports are part of “a propaganda activity of lies and disinformation aimed at undermining Republika Srpska and its leadership”. He warned that “all of this is part of a hybrid war against Republika Srpska.”

“The demonization of Republika Srpska and the hybrid war being waged continue through the actions of the U.S. Embassy, which consistently tries to give primary importance to such inaccurate sources. This happened again this time. We believe that some American sources even requested Moldovans to publish such a vile lie so that the U.S. Embassy would be eager to welcome it, immediately condemning Republika Srpska. However, after realising they had gone too far, they withdrew their statement from their official website within hours, which is an admission that they had lied. This, of course, discredits the U.S. ambassador himself,” Dodik stated.

Dodik said he expects that the responsible institutions will deal with those who spread disinformation.

The Russian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly denied allegations that it set up pro-Russian vamps in BiH where Moldovan citizens were trained to cause civil unrest in Moldova and called it part of a hybrid war against Russia and Republika Srpska. Previously, a member of the Joint Commission for Oversight of the Work of the Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA) stated that suspicious individuals had been present in Bosnia and Herzegovina but denied claims of training camps.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konakovic, recently told N1 that he had seen evidence of training activities. The Minister of Security denies this.
