The Serb member of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said he will inform the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, about the political situation in BiH and tell him that the country’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity “does not trust sweet-spoken, false good intentions of some Western factors and Bosniaks” during their meeting on Saturday.

He stated that this meeting with Vucic is part of a continuity of previous meetings to discuss the situation and agree on possible reactions.

“We have to stop this because, after a year, nothing will remain of Republika Srpska,” Dodik said, referring to the political situation in the country.

“I am a man who has invested his political life in this,” he said, adding that he has been hearing a lot of comments regarding his actions these days.

“It is better to go honourably and with dignity than to be a lackey and fragile. I am not stupid to show off in front of America, but America is not right, it ‘pampers’ some Serbs here, cheats and tries to impose solutions on us, talks about a common state, and creates a Muslim state that they are very happy with in Sarajevo,” he told journalists.

Dodik repeated his earlier announcement that the RS will withdraw its consent to the state-level Armed Forces, arguing that “the RS does not want an army that they may tomorrow use against the Serb people.”

He also repeated that he does not accept the authority of the High Representative in BiH, the international official overseeing the civilian implementation of the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement.
