The President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity Milorad Dodik said that the US must stop interfering in the internal affairs of the country and facilitate a neutral political agreement because it is not in charge, nor is it necessary to interfere in the internal affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Furthermore, I think that the US is an important factor to talk to, and I am convinced that one day they will realize that people like Michael Murphy are only destroying their ability to have an open dialogue,” said Dodik regarding the US Embassy's response to N1's inquiry in which they stated that “they are ready to react to the anti-Dayton and unconstitutional actions of the BiH political actors” after Dodik announced that the RS will create a new Election Law.
Dodik noted that the American ambassador once again showed that he is unjustifiably interfering in the internal affairs of a sovereign country.
“I thought of requesting that he be declared persona non grata, but I realized that he is not the US ambassador to the RS, but only to the Federation (FBiH) entity, so I don't want to interfere in the internal affairs of another country. We already know what the Federation will do with him,” said the president of the Republika Srpska entity.
“If we showed an American ambassador that he cannot govern the Republika Srpska, then it will not be difficult to prove it to the Muslims in Sarajevo as well. If they plan to continue with such things, the RS has its completely legitimate right to defend itself against such psychopaths trying to cast doubt on even the legitimate electoral process just to strengthen the frustrations and lies that the opposition in the Republika Srpska, above all Jelena Trivic, maintain. That shows that she is their favourite,” said Dodik.
He added that the US will soon leave BiH.
“America will leave BiH very soon, and probably Murphy himself will leave even sooner. We already know that in American circles, especially his bosses, they do not think that he did a good job. It encouraged us to think that we were right and not him. Of course, he will say all kinds of things in public, pretending to be a big face and almighty, but he knows how his actions, which are primarily anti-American, are treated. I can understand the frustration of a man who came with the ambition to be everything and anything, I can understand that he is the one who thought he was going to make a miracle here. He is working on a miracle, but a totally wrong one and it’s unsustainable,” said Dodik.
The RS President said that only a few years ago, it was unimaginable that one would be able to tell an ambassador that he was “an idiot or a psychopath or something similar.”
“It does not belong to the normal diplomatic values, but Murphy made his own choice, he talks about others, so he has to accept that he is also being talked about,” Dodik added.
