Bosnia Serb Presidency member Milorad Dodik's proposal to cancel the Presidency Chairman's participation in the Crimea Platform conference was rejected on Monday at an extraordinary Presidency session.
Presidency Chairman and Bosniak Presidency member Sefik Dzaferovic received the invitation letter from the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which he accepted in the capacity of the Presidency Chairman.
Dodik asked for the Presidency's extraordinary session to discuss the matter and proposed that the participation is cancelled but his proposal was rejected by other two Presidency members, Bosniak Dzaferovic and Croat Zeljko Komsic.
In addition, Dodik also proposed the conclusion that Bosnia and Herzegovina should take a neutral stance towards Russian aggression against Ukraine, which was also rejected, as it would be a change in BiH's official stance on this issue.
The Crimea Platform is a diplomatic initiative gathering a large number of heads of state and government, including all EU and NATO member states, and which was launched by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with the aim of canceling the illegal Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014, the Presidency Chairman's office told Fena news agency.
