The closing ceremony of the "Quick Response 2024" exercise was held Friday at the EUFOR Main Command at the Butmir base.

The aim of this exercise, which began on August 24, was to demonstrate EUFOR's readiness and confirm its continued support to partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina in preserving a secure environment in the country. This extensive training included EUFOR troops from 23 member states, which were temporarily reinforced by reserve forces from Austria, Hungary and Romania.

The exercise was conducted under the leadership of the command of the multinational group of troops of the EU in BiH (EUFOR), and the goal was to improve compatibility with the units of the multinational forces in Kosovo (KFOR), which also participated in the exercise.

More than a thousand people with state-of-the-art military equipment, armoured personnel carriers, helicopters and various vehicles participated in various exercises and military operations, to show EUFOR's readiness to preserve stability and peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Soldiers demonstrated crisis management skills such as hostage crisis, riot control, patrolling, escorting convoys, medical evacuation and helicopter rescue. In these exercises, EUFOR forces cooperated closely with the Armed Forces of BiH.

After the end of the exercise, EUFOR reserve forces from Austria, Romania and Hungary will return to their bases.
