The Director of the Federation (FBiH) entity Police Administration (FUP) Vahidin Munjic announced after the implementation of Tuesday's action operation targeting the former administration of the FBiH Highway company, codenamed "Landfill".
Munjic emphasized that since his appointment as head of the FUP, he insisted that police officers focus on corruption cases, especially cases of high corruption.
“Corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a cancer that destroys the entire system and which judicial institutions and police agencies must deal with. In the coming period, FUP will remain focused on documenting and investigating cases of high corruption, and the attacks on the FBiH Police Administration – which we are exposed to at a time when work on corruption cases is intensified – will not prevent us from fighting corruption,” said Munjic.
He added that Bosnian citizens can expect more such and similar cases.
“Given that the FUP conducts multiple investigations concerning corrupt crimes and public officials I use this opportunity to thank the FBiH Minister of the Interior, Ramo Isak, and the FBiH Government who gave maximum support to the FUP when it comes to reorganization and strengthening of the Department for the fight against organized crime and corruption, but also materially and technically and with new equipment”, said Munjic.
