The informal group of students named 'Is that change ever going to happen?' has organised a peaceful protest on Sunday at 12:00, in front of Sarajevo's central Hastahana Park, while the citizen of the city of Zenica, north of Sarajevo, have gathered in protest of rising prices and inflation. The protest in Sarajevo was sparked by the recent murder in Kalesija, when Emir Selimovi brutally killed his wife Inela Selimovic and their 13-year-old son.
The organizers stated that this tragic event is another indicator of irregularities in the work of the competent institutions, emphasizing the importance of joint action in order to influence the changes that everyone needs.

Hasija Boric, Bosnian actor and filmmaker, said at the Sarajevo protest that “women in Bosnia do not feel safe.”
The banner she held during the rally said: “Should a minister's mother, sister or daughter be killed so that you make the legislation stricter?”

“Call it whatever you like, but the criminal code must change. Current one is very mild towards the murderers and they should get at least 20 to 30 years (in prison), because mild sentences are encouraging them,” she stressed.
Boric also pointed out that women in small towns do not feel safe.
“The system has failed and must change,” she underlined.
Despite expectations, a small number of citizens came to the rally.
Hanadi Maslo, who lost her baby and her home in the recent floods in Donja Jablanica, south of Sarajevo, was there.
“I don't understand, what needs to happen for the people to say – it is enough. I am a bit disappointed. We have had a lot of reasons to make this park crowded,” she said.

Maslo conveyed a message for the authorities and asked “how many women and children needs to be strangled” so that they introduce a law treating femicide. She referred to the latest case of the murder of a woman and her son.
In Zenica, the citizens paid their respects to the victims of floods and all other victims across the country.
“We want healthy and functional institutions that would protect the citizens,” said one of the organisers.
They have read seven demands for the authorities, which include the request for fiscal reforms, anti-inflation measures, informing the citizens about the budget money that was allocated for the flood recovery, higher pensions, prevention of peer violence and explanation why the utility services’ prices increased.
