Initiatives like these deepen the bad position of Republika Srpska, commented Jelena Trivic, president of the People's Front, regarding the latest "initiative" by the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, on "peaceful separation."

According to her, it is clear that when such a document is proposed to the other side, the Federation of BiH, it will not be accepted.

“This is just a new name for Dodik's story, which is just a story and has been going on for over 18 years since he first mentioned secession. First, it was independence, then secession, then autonomy within Dayton BiH, and now peaceful separation. These verbal acrobatics are used for daily purposes to cover up the catastrophic economic situation that the government of Republika Srpska has led us into, the most severe consequence of which is the massive departure of people from here,” says Trivic.

She emphasizes that such initiatives undoubtedly deepen the bad position of Republika Srpska.

“Instead of strengthening its Dayton position, such initiatives put at risk the acquired level of autonomy, which is primarily reflected in entity voting and other mechanisms that Republika Srpska has under Dayton,” Trivic concluded.
