The working visit of Bosnia's Croat and Bosniak Presidency members Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic to Montenegro is a sign of friendship and a way of showing that it is important to us, Komsic told N1 Friday, commenting on their planned meetings with Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic and Assembly Speaker Aleksa Becic. “This visit, which is not official but it is a working one, speaks of our desire to show how important Montenegro is to us. Montenegro is a friendly country. It is a NATO member state. I think we have an obligation to maintain the tradition of good relations with Montenegro. I think we are the only countries in the region that have signed and concluded a border agreement. We don't want to interfere in the internal relations in Montenegro. As other countries are interfering in Bosnia's relations,” Komsic said for N1 Thursday.

Asked to comment on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's latest messages regarding the Dayton Peace Agreement which ended the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia, Komsic said that “Vucic himself is in an unenviable situation.”

“On the one hand, there is (Bosnian Serb Presidency member Milorad) Dodik, who often pushes him into a confrontation with the international community. That is, with the countries with which Serbia strives to have the best relations. Because of the image that they are “heads of the Serb peoples,” they put themselves in an awkward situation. I can say that we are aware of the relations with Belgrade. We want to fix them. But we don't want Serbia to intervene in BiH in any way. We have three neighbours, two of whom are constantly trying to interfere in the internal relations in BiH,” Komsic told N1.

Commenting on the meaning of Vucic's statement that the regular reports of the High Representative, which are public, should be sent to Belgrade, Komsic said “it was meant to calm Dodik down. To say that Serbia is asking the High Representative for something. Even if Serbia wanted to, it couldn’t impose anything on the High Representative. No one in this region is as powerful.”
