A man named Nouman Nazir from Spain is making a public plea for help in locating his missing brother, Adnan Nazir, who has been missing in Croatia for over 10 months. Adnan, who was working in Dubai, disappeared on October 21, 2023, after attempting an illegal journey from Albania to Italy with a group of friends.

Nouman recounted that his brother, Adnan, had entered Croatia illegally with a group of friends after traveling through Montenegro and Bosnia. During their journey, Adnan fell ill, experiencing severe headaches and heart palpitations. His friends, unable to continue with him, left him behind at a location they shared with Nouman.

Upon receiving this information, Nouman traveled to Croatia, where he reported the incident to the police in Gospić and Korenica. Police accompanied him to the location, but after a two-hour search, they were unable to find any trace of Adnan. Nouman claims the police did not issue any official report or documentation and advised him to leave the area due to safety concerns.

Despite multiple efforts, including submitting reports to the Red Cross in Zagreb, the United Nations, and the Bosnian authorities, Nouman has not received any significant updates about his brother’s whereabouts. The last known location of Adnan's mobile phone aligns with the spot his friends indicated, but no further leads have been uncovered.

Nouman also shared a concerning detail from Adnan’s companions: two cars, a black Mercedes and a white Hilux, reportedly followed them after they left Adnan behind. They feared these were police vehicles, which led them to believe Adnan might have been arrested.

Adding to the complexity, Adnan did not carry any identification during his journey. He had destroyed his passport and ID card, leaving his family worried that he might not have been able to provide authorities with his name or any other information if encountered.

Nouman has reached out to various organizations, including the Pakistani embassy in Sarajevo, but the family remains in the dark about Adnan’s fate. They fear the worst and are desperately seeking any information about what might have happened to him.

"We are so worried. He was sick, alone, and without any identification. We just need to know what happened to him," Nouman said in his emotional appeal. He has provided Adnan’s passport, ID card pictures, and fingerprints in hopes they will assist in the search.

The family is pleading for anyone with information or the ability to help to come forward and assist in finding Adnan Nazir.
