A minor student of Lukavac Elementary School fired several shots at the English language teacher Nedim Osmanovic in the school premises yesterday.
The professor was hit by one shot, causing a neck wound, and shortly after the event, he was urgently transported to the University Clinical Center in Tuzla, where he underwent surgery.
N1 learned the boy was placed in a children's psychiatric hospital in Sarajevo. Namely, N1’s source who wanted to remain anonymous said that Tuzla does not have such a ward and that this problem has been discussed for over ten years.
The problem arose Wednesday when the boy was supposed to be placed in the Educational Center. However, this required the father's consent. The father did not give that consent and therefore, the minor was transferred to a psychiatric hospital. Our interlocutor explains that the boy was in the police station for hours and was unknown where they would place him.
The thirteen-year-old juvenile was recently expelled from school due to bad behaviour, and he decided to resolve his dissatisfaction with the decision of the teaching staff by shooting the teacher who is also the deputy principal.
