Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazović believes that the visit of justice and finance ministers Marko Kovac and Aleksandar Damjanovic to Banja Luka marking the unconstitutional day of Republika Srpska (RS) is a scandal, but also a preparation for elections.

“It is a scandal, but also a preparation for the elections. We are different political subjects. Their visit has nothing to do with the government,” Abazovic said, adding that Damjanovic and Kovac are ministers and adult citizens who must answer for their actions.

Abazovic said in a guest appearance on the TV Vijesti that the ministers did not go to Banja Luka as representatives of the Montenegrin Government, because, the Government did not recognize January 9.

“I said that I would not dismiss them nor would I start anything other than a friendly conversation because we have to understand what kind of political quagmire the Balkans is. And here's how things stand – the Deputy Chair of Bosnia’s Council of Ministers is discussing with the prime minister of another country whether some ministers were at a celebration while their prime minister is attending the parade behind (RS President) Milorad Dodik,” Montenegrin Prime Minister Abazovic said.
