“Zakharova, as a great humanitarian, should come to acknowledge and pay her respects to the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica. The hypocritical statements of Russian officials regarding the war criminal only prove that Russia is still, even today, with those who brutally killed children, the elderly and women. Fascism has no place in the modern world,” Mothers of Srebrenica stated on Twitter.

They sent a special message regarding the release of convicted war criminal Mladic.

“The wishes of Zakharova and the Russian embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina will remain unfulfilled because the convicted war criminal will not live to see freedom!” said the Mothers of Srebrenica.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated Thursday that convicted Bosnian Serb war criminal Ratko Mladic, who was recently admitted to the hospital due to his deteriorating health, should be released from prison “on humanitarian grounds.”
