The Mountain Rescue Service successfully evacuated an injured mountaineer from inaccessible terrain on Mount Visocica on Sunday and transported him to the nearest medical institution for treatment.
The accident happened when the mountaineer slipped and slid down the ridge towards the inaccessible Rakitnica canyon.
Four teams arrived to assist in the rescue operation, while the final evacuation from the canyon was conducted with the helicopter of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Armed Forces.
