The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an orange alert due to expected heavy rainfall in the regions of Herzegovina, western, northwestern, and parts of central Bosnia.

The anticipated rainfall ranges from 30 to 60 l/m², with localized amounts potentially reaching up to 80 l/m².

There is a risk of rivers overflowing and urban flooding in certain areas. The World Meteorological Organization recommends taking precautionary measures and closely monitoring weather forecasts, as flooding of property and transportation networks is possible.

The Sava River Basin Agency has also issued a warning of an exceptional hydrological situation, expected to last until Sunday, October 6th, particularly affecting the Krajina region.

The Civil Protection Administration of Republika Srpska has urged citizens and relevant services to take necessary steps to protect people and property and to plan outdoor activities carefully due to the forecasted adverse weather conditions.
