Four people, including officials of the Border Police and the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been detained on Tuesday as part of a police crackdown on a suspected organised crime group.
The operation is being carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity under the supervision of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
The suspects were deprived of their freedom due to grounds for suspicion that they have, as members of an organized criminal group, were involved in a series of crimes including drug trafficking, illicit trafficking in excise goods, leaking secret information and abuse of position or authority, the RS Interior Ministry said.
Police are currently raiding several locations used by the suspects, who will be forwarded to the state Prosecutor’s Office.
